The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater

The Raven Boys is the first book in The Raven Cycle series. It follows the story of four boys and one girl. Gansey is joined by his friends Noah, Adam, Ronan, and Blue on his search for the Welsh King Glendower.

I give the book a 5/5 star review. What I really liked about this book is that it focuses on Welsh mythology, psychics and tarot cards. Along with the journey of these five friends as they come closer to finder Glendower and maybe even death. These are elements that are rarely seen in novels. I also loved the way Maggie Stiefvater introduces and describes the character. Each has their own appearance, style, personalities, and motivation as to why they are on this search for the king. I also enjoyed the descriptions of the setting as well. I highly recommend this book.
